The handles of the individual pieces of cutlery are thickened by soft grip cushions. This makes it easier to grip firmly with the whole hand. If there is a lack of hand closure, tremor or limited finger motor skills, each piece of cutlery can be held securely. The ergonomic shapes of the individual pieces of cutlery make it possible to grip and use the cutlery individually; there is no fixed grip position. The special handle of the knife fits in the palm of the hand and allows pressure to be exerted with the whole hand when cutting independently. The knife still sits securely in the hand with a reduced grip. The circular surface of the spoon allows food to be fed into the mouth from all sides equally, so there is no need for a bent handle. Nevertheless, just as much food can be taken up as with a conventional spoon.
